You’re not so spiritual!

I’ve been really reviewing a lot of Eckhart Tolle’s material and am becoming more aware of my thoughts.  Recently, I’ve noticed that I have lots of judgments.

For example, the other night my husband and I went to a “spiritual” movie that interviewed a lot of spiritual leaders in the community.  Some of the leaders I had met before and found myself thinking, “They’re not so spiritual.  They’re hippocrits.”

Then I also saw people from my past at the movie and had some very similar thoughts like, “What are they doing here, they’re not that spiritual?”

I know that anytime you have a judgment about something it’s always a reflection of you.  So I observed all the judgments I was making and then asked myself what I needed to look at in myself around this…

I realized that many people in the past have said those same comments to me.  For example, an ex-boyfriend once said to me, “You’re not so spiritual.” 

 I know others may have said this about me as well, especially now that I am out there on the public speaking circuit. 

Yet, what I realized about this is that we are ALL spiritual and we are ALL human.  We make mistakes and we hopefully learn from them and grow. 

If I want to release myself from these “negative” judgments I need to work on releasing others from these judgments, realizing that they are doing the best they can too.  That they are on this same journey.

I release myself and others from this judgment.  We are spiritual!
